Privacy Policy
What we collect when you use this site, why we collect it, and how to get it removed. It is short, because we do not collect much.
Who we are
SONDA is a marketing strategy agency based in the United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK data protection law we are the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at hello@wearesonda.com.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form on this site. There are two:
- The contact form — your name, email address, and optionally your company, phone number, project type and whatever you write in the message.
- The Young in Britain request form — your name, email address, optionally your company, and whether or not you ticked the box asking to hear from us again.
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you around the internet.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To reply to you. If you contact us about work, we use your details to answer. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — you asked us a question and we would like to answer it.
- To give you the report. If you request Young in Britain, we record the request. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests in knowing who our research reaches.
- To email you about new research. Only if you ticked the box. Our lawful basis is your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Ticking that box is entirely optional. The report downloads either way, and nothing about our reply to an enquiry depends on it.
Who else sees it
Our website and its forms are hosted by Netlify, who process and store form submissions on our behalf and act only on our instructions. If we later move to a dedicated email platform in order to send research emails, we will name it here first.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for up to two years after our last exchange, so we have a record of the conversation. Report requests are kept for up to two years. If you have consented to research emails, we keep your address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or send it to you in a portable format. You can object to us processing it, and where we rely on your consent you can withdraw that consent at any time — either by using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by writing to us.
Email hello@wearesonda.com and we will action it. There is no charge, and we will respond within one month.
If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.
Changes
If we change how we use your data we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and you are on our research list, we will tell you by email.
